CONVENTION NEWS: Montreal Comiccon Adds Freema Agyeman To Allons-Y Special Event

The organisers of Montreal Comiccon have announced that Freema Agyeman will be the third guest making up the panel for the Doctor Who special event Allons-y. Freema, who played Tenth Doctor companion Martha Jones in the series, will be teaming up with David Tennant and Alex Kingston for the exclusive 60-minute Q&A session which takes place during the convention on Saturday 8th July at 7.00pm in the Main Events room, Palais des Congrès.
Allons-y is a separately ticketed event, not included with any single day, 3-Day, Deluxe, or VIP tickets. Reduced price tickets for the event will be available to attendees already holding a Montreal Comiccon ticket that includes Saturday. Those without Comiccon entry tickets will be able to purchase a special ticket event at full price.

UK: Catch Up On The Final Series Of Broadchurch With ITV Encore From Tonight

SKY UK and NOW TV subscribers will have a second chance to watch the third series of Broadchurch as ITV Encore begins repeats of the drama from 9pm tonight.

David Tennant and Olivia Colman return as Detectives Alec Hardy and Ellie Miller in the final chapter from writer, creator and executive producer Chris Chibnall. This time the duo investigate a serious sexual assault that shocks the tight-knitted seaside town of Broadchurch to its core. The all-star cast includes familiar faces Jodie Whittaker, Andrew Buchan and Arthur Darvill, who re joined by newcomers Julie Hesmondhalgh, Lenny Henry, Sarah Parish and Charlie Higson.

Broadchurch is currently airing across Latin America and in Italy, Sweden, the Netherlands, the Caribbean and South Africa. The series premieres in the USA on BBC America June 28th.

In 1987, the Reid twins from Auctermuchty in Fife, recording under the name The Proclaimers, released an album called This Is The Story that would change their lives forever. The album propelled The Proclaimers and the Scottish accent into the charts and took them from playing small venues in Scotland to national and international acclaim.

In celebration of their 30 year career, BBC Two Scotland have commissioned an hour long show in which Craig and Charlie Reid are interviewed by one of their biggest fans, David Tennant. The programme, The Proclaimers: This Is The Story, will be shown on BBC Two Scotland tonight at 9pm BST.

The programme will be available to watch elsewhere in the UK via some cable and satellite packages or via BBC iPlayer after broadcast.
