Michigan Theatre To Show Hamlet

As part of its ongoing relationship with Lansing public television station WKAR, the Michigan Theatre, 124 N. Mechanic St., will show an episode of the PBS program “Great Performances” featuring a Royal Shakespeare Company production of “Hamlet.” The show will air at 8 p.m. Wednesday on the big screen. Doors will open at 7 p.m.The television adaptation recreates the English company’s 2008 production of William Shakespeare’s great drama. It features “Dr. Who” star David Tennant as Hamlet and “Star Trek: The Next Generation” star Patrick Stewart as Hamlet’s treacherous uncle, King Claudius.Admission is free.
