Bridport Audience Impressed By Broadchurch Première Screening





The first episode of the new ITV drama series Broadchurch  had its world première screening tonight at Bridport Arts Centre. A number of audience members took to Twitter soon afterwards to share their positive reactions to the drama and the cast:

The screening was also attended by writer Chris Chibnall, director James Strong and producer Richard Stokes, who took part in a Q&A session afterwards. Chris Chibnall, talking about the casting of David Tennant in the lead role of DI Alec Hardy said  "He's the best at what he does. Astounding"

Broadchurch is an eight part series which explores what happens to a small seaside town when it becomes the focus of media and police scrutiny following the suspicious death of a child. David Tennant and Olivia Colman star with Arthur Darvill, Jodie Whittaker, Andrew Buchan and Vicky McClure. The series is expected to begin on ITV in late February / March.
