Today is World Cancer Day 2013, and the focus of the campaign this year is to dispel some of the myths and misconceptions about the disease.

David Tennant has been supporting the fight against cancer for many years, becoming an ambassador for the Association for International Cancer Research in 2007. AICR are unique in that they fund cancer research projects around the world. David says of the charity:
“I know only too well that cancer strikes without regard to
age or race, country or creed, fame or fortune. I believe AICR’s approach to
funding research, wherever in the world it is taking place, is at the forefront
of the battle to bring cancer under control and I am proud to have been asked
to become an ambassador.”
