US customers can now purchase David Tennant's episode of Shakespeare Uncovered to keep on Amazon Instant Video from Amazon.com. David presented an hour long special on Hamlet as part of the recent six-part PBS series in which a number of notable Shakespearean actors and directors explored the question of why Shakespeare is still regarded as the greatest playwright ever.

In a unique series of six films, Shakespeare Uncovered combines

Produced by Blakeway Productions, 116 Films and THIRTEEN in
association with Shakespeare’s Globe, each episode explores and reveals the
extraordinary world and works of William Shakespeare and the still-potent
impact they have today. The films combine interviews with actors, directors and
scholars, along with visits to key locations, clips from some of the most
celebrated film and television adaptations, and illustrative excerpts from the
plays staged specially for the series at Shakespeare’s Globe in London.
Each program’s host has deep personal experience with
Shakespeare’s work and relates not only the stories of the plays themselves,

Hamlet with David Tennant
To be, or not to be: that is the question. David Tennant
meets fellow actors who’ve taken on Hamlet and compares notes on how to play a
character that’s been played, probably, a million different ways.
An acclaimed Hamlet in a recent Royal Shakespeare Company
production, Tennant looks into the text about the doomed Danish Prince
alongside the actors Jude Law, Simon Russell Beale and Ben Whishaw. This is a
play made of historical sources and religious wars, existential questions, the
meaning of life and death, and the idea that ghosts are real and speak.
Tennant also finds that many actors who’ve played Hamlet
share a common experience: deeply and profoundly personal, life changing.
