Broadchurch Holds The Top Ratings Slot Against Thatcher Tribute



After its ratings dip last week, Broadchurch climbed back up the ratings rankings again last night to regain its top position in the 9pm slot. 6.29 million viewers watched the sixth episode of the crime drama series fronted by David Tennant and Olivia Colman, with another 310,000 catching up on ITV+1.


BBC One's Margaret Thatcher ninety minute obituary special, which started at 8.30pm, was seen by 2.48m (9.7%).

Over on BBC Two, the new historical documentary series Fit To Rule: How Royal Illness Changed Britain drew in 1.76m (6.9%). Channel 4’s Embarrassing Bodies was watched by 1.53m (6.0%) while another new documentary series on Channel 5, Battle Scarred attracted 622k (3.4%) viewers.

Sky Atlantic’s flagship show Game Of Thrones continued on with 474k (1.9%) watching. 

Between 7pm and 11pm last night, Sky Sports screened Live Premiere League Football, covering the Manchester derby clash.
