Tanya Franks Talks About Her Broadchurch Character On ITV Daybreak

Tanya Franks appeared on ITV Daybreak yesterday morning to introduce her Broadchurch character Lucy Stevens who has just made her first appearances in the show. Lucy is mother to reporter Olly and the sister of DS Ellie Miller and seems to have had her own share of past controversy. She claims to have seen something on the night of the murder but has not yet divulged this. She looks set to stir things up, and both Olly and Ellie seem to have little time for her self-obsessed actions.

The former Eastenders star refused to be drawn on whether Lucy was good or bad news. "Is there any good or bad news in the series? One never knows with any of the characters in it," she said.

Tanya gave great praise to the writers of the series which has millions across the UK and beyond trying to work out the identity of Danny Latimer's killer

"It’s amazing how they’ve been able to take one storyline and literally expand it over eight weeks and hold that suspense, and literally every avenue is being looked at, explored, every character. It’s fantastic. It’s so well written." she said.
