French viewers will soon be able to enjoy Broadchurch starring David Tennant and Olivia Colman as France 2 has acquired the series for broadcast.

2 un des joyaux de la couronne télévisuelle anglaise : Broadchurch. Créée
par Chris Chibnall, un ex scénariste de Doctor Who et Torchwood,
cette série se déroule dans un village anglais de bord de mer secoué par le meurtre
d'un de "ses" enfants. L'enquête menée par le duo de flics (pas si)
mal assortis, joués par l'incroyable Olivia
Colman et David
Tennant, va révéler les secrets des habitants de cette communauté en
apparence solidaire et secouer, bouleverser, marquer à jamais chaque
protagoniste. L'acquisition de la série a été annoncée par Philippe
Vilamitjana, le directeur des programmes de France 2, qui n'a pas écarté en
outre l'idée d'en développer par ailleurs l'adaptation française.

French television viewers can soon discover legally via France 2 one of
the jewels in the crown of English TV: Broadchurch.
Created by Chris Chibnall,a former writer of Doctor Who and Torchwood the series is set in an
English seaside village rocked by the murder of one of ‘their’ children. The
enquiry led by a pair of (not so) mismatched cops, played by the incredible
Olivia Colman and David Tennant, will reveal the secrets of the inhabitants of
this apparently solid community and will shake up, disrupt and mark each
protagonist forever. The acquisition of the series was announced by Philippe Vilamitjana,
the director of programming for France
2, who has not ruled out the idea of developing an additional French
adaptation.
