Nicholas Hooper To Score The Escape Artist

Nicholas Hooper is to provide the score for David Tennant's new BBC drama The Escape Artists says Film Music Reporter.

The three part legal thriller created by David Wolstencroft stars David Tennant as Will Burton, a talented junior barrister who specialises in spiriting people out of tight legal corners, hence his nickname of “The Escape Artist”. Will is in high demand as he has never lost a case. But when his talents acquit the prime suspect in a horrific murder trial, that brilliance comes back to bite him with unexpected and chilling results.

Hooper’s previous scoring credits include Harry Potter and the Order of PhoenixHarry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, David Yates’ State of Play and The Girl in the Cafe and Disneynature’s African Cats and Chimpanzee. The composer has also previously scored the Discovery Channel’s original mini-series North America narrated by Tom Selleck, which premiered in May in the US.

The Escape Artist is expected to air on BBC One around October as part of the channel's new Autumn drama line up.
