The Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular Returns To Melbourne In 2014

Music from Doctor Who, composed by Murray Gold, will feature in an amazing concert in Melbourne in 2014.

After a series of sell out concerts last year, the Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular returns to Melbourne on 31st January and 1st February for performances with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

According to Helen Pendlebury from BBC Worldwide the concerts will be based on the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Proms which were held in London last month.

The music of Murray Gold will be accompanied by stunning visuals of the Doctor in action. The show will feature a look back at the previous Doctors and include some music their eras too.
"It's really special to be able to offer audiences the chance to experience this music as it was originally recorded," says Gold.
"We worked with a symphonic orchestra on both the iconic theme tune and the rest of the series score and to hear the music performed by such world-class orchestras as the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra is a fantastic opportunity for music lovers and Doctor Who fans alike."
