UK: Watch David Tennant And Peter Capaldi In The Fires Of Pompeii Tomorrow

UK TV viewers have the chance to watch the Tenth and newly announced Twelfth Doctors on screen together when Watch repeats the 2008 episode The Fires Of Pompeii.

In the second episode of David Tennant's third series of Doctor Who, the Doctor, newly reunited with Donna Noble, travels back in time to ancient Pompeii in 79AD.

When they arrive in 79AD, however, they discover psychic powers and beasts of stone running riot in the streets of the city. And when the TARDIS is mistaken for a work of art and sold, the Doctor and Donna find themselves drawn into the household of marble merchant Caecilius (Peter Capaldi), whose daughter is falling under the influence of a strange cult

The time-travellers face their greatest challenge yet – can established history be changed, or must the Doctor let everyone die?

The episode also boasts the Doctor Who debut of another future member of the TARDIS crew: Karen Gillan, who went on to play Amy Pond, appears as a Soothsayer.

The episode was written by James Moran and directed by Colin Teague
