TV Choice Magazine have updated their website with a set of photos from last night's TV Choice 2013 Awards. The awards were presented last night at London's Dorchester Hotel.
David Tennant was voted Best Actor by readers of the magazine for his performance as DI Alec Hardy in Broadchurch, while the series was the winner in the Best New Drama category. David's co-stars Andrew Buchan, Jodie Whittaker and Olivia Colman, along with series creator Chris Chibnall, Kudos executive Jane Featherstone and producer Richard Stokes were also present to receive the award. Sadly Olivia Colman, nominated for her performance as DS Ellie Miller, was just pipped to the post by Miranda Hart (Call The Midwife) in the Best Actress category.
Doctor Who was also a winner last night, coming away with the Best Drama award and the award for Outstanding Contribution to TV. Showrunner Steven Moffat was on hand to collect the awards, assisted in the latter category by Peter Davison and David Tennant. Matt Smith, currently filming his final episode of Doctor Who in Wales, sent a video message of thanks.
