BBC Radio 4 are to repeat the 2012 audio drama Waiting For The Boatman in the Afternoon Drama slot on Monday 7th April. David Tennant stars as Italian artist Mario Minniti in the play written by Stephen Wakelam and directed by Sasha Yevtushenko.
Waiting For The Boatman
The painter Mario Minniti has travelled to Naples to seek
out his old friend and former mentor Caravaggio. But on arrival, the great
painter is nowhere to be found. In a bid to track him down, Mario retraces
Caravaggio's last known movements. His search reveals a life lived dangerously.
The production also stars Anton Lesser (Spies Of Warsaw, The Escape Artist) and Joe Dempsie (Doctor Who - The Doctor's Daughter)
