VIDEO: Kevin Zegers Discusses Gracepoint On Global's The Morning Show

Gracepoint star Kevin Zegers appeared on Canadian TV network Global's The Morning Show earlier today to talk about the new drama that will première in Canada this Fall.

The ten episode event series is based on the BAFTA winning UK show Broadchurch. David Tennant, star of the original, has reprised the role of lead investigator in the remake, although now his character is an American detective called Emmett Carver. The drama focuses on the fictional Californian town of Gracepoint following the discovery of the body of a child on the picturesque beach.

Of the challenge of doing justice to the much adored Broadchurch, Canadian star Kevin said,
"We had big shoes to fill. But its a different cast and we had two extra hours to veer the show in a different direction. They certainly weren’t going to make it unless it was going to be quite different and we have a different ending, obviously."

On David Tennant's much discussed American accent: "He sounds very American. The accent was impressive, I have to say."

On the quality of the reimagined version: "The script..is so good. It’s better than any film script I’ve read this year"

Finally Kevin assures viewers that they will find the show unmissable. "I dare anyone to watch the first episode of the show and not watch the second," he said.
