Actor Josh Hamilton is the latest Gracepoint star to introduce their character in the new Fox TV event series Gracepoint.
Joe Miller is the husband of Ellie (Anna Gunn), one of the lead detectives in the investigation into the shock murder of young Danny Solano that rocks the sleepy seaside community of Gracepoint.
Joe and Ellie form a close family unit together with their two sons Tom and Dylan. A former EMT, Joe elected to give up work following Dylan's birth to allow Ellie to focus on her own career. As a house husband he supports Ellie in her work, particularly in this difficult case where the victim and his family are well known to them, and in her often fraught relationship with her boss, Emmett Carver (David Tennant). Generally, Josh explains, Joe and Ellie's relationship is good, but things are not always rosy, mostly because of Ellie's working hours and the stress she is under.
"I think Joe is supportive and wants to be supportive," he says, "But I think he just gets exhausted and it's a lot of pressure to put on him too. I think everyone is just trying to do the best they can."

Gracepoint, a re-imagining of the award winning UK series Broadchurch premieres on Fox on Thursday 2nd October at 9pm/8c. David Tennant and Anna Gunn play the police detectives leading the investigation into an horrific crime which threatens to tear a small community apart. The producers promise that the series will diverge in a number of ways from the original series with a different ending, new twists and suspects and a different killer.
