Dates Confirmed For David Tennant's Performances In Richard II In New York



Following on from the Brooklyn Academy of Music's announcement yesterday that tickets to see David Tennant perform Shakespeare's Richard II in New York would go on sale next month, they have now provided details of the actual performance dates.

Next year David will reprise his award-winning performance as the King as Richard II transfers to New York. Following a short winter season at the Barbican in London, the Royal Shakespeare Company's tetralogy of plays King & Country: Shakespeare's Great Cycle Of Kings transfers to BAM in New York

David will be performing the play ten times between Thursday 24th March and Friday 29th April 2016. The play can be watched as a standalone performance or as part of the cycle of four plays.

David's dates are:

Richard II - BAM Harvey Theatre
Thursday 24th March 
Friday 1st April 
Tuesday 5th April
Friday 8th April 
Tuesday 12th April
Thursday 14th April
Sunday 17th April
Tuesday 19th April
Tuesday 26th April
Friday 29th April

All performances begin at 7.30pm with the exception of 17th April which begins at 3pm.

Ticketing details have also been clarified. Season subscriptions only will go on sale to BAM Members from 9th November and then to the general public from 16th November.

Single ticket sales will be available to BAM Members from 30th November and to the general public from 7th December. The Chase advance sale for King & Country tickets only will be between 3rd - 6th December.

King & Country: Shakespeare's Great Cycle Of Kings
Marking the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare, BAM, the Royal Shakespeare Company, and The Ohio State University present King and Country: Shakespeare’s Great Cycle of Kings, comprising the four plays Richard II; Henry IV, Part I; Henry IV, Part II; Henry V. David Tennant returns in the title role of Richard II, Antony Sher and Jasper Britton play Falstaff and Henry IV respectively in the Henry IV plays, and Alex Hassell continues the journey of young Prince Hal, who reaches maturity as Henry V in the final play of the tetralogy. The plays are directed by the RSC's Artistic Director Gregory Doran.
