UK: Zavvi To Release Exclusive Jessica Jones Blu-Ray Steelbook

UK retailer Zavvi will exclusively release the acclaimed Netflix series Marvel's Jessica Jones as a limited edition steelbook Blu-ray in December. Krysten Ritter stars as the eponymous Former supperhero turned private detective in the tense adaptation of the cult comic book series by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos. David Tennant co-stars as Jessica's nemesis, the mind-bending supervillain Kilgrave, and the cast also includes Mike Colter, Carrie-Anne Moss and Rachael Taylor. 

The 4-disc set will be released on Monday 5th December and pre-orders will be taken from Monday 21st November via this link (the Sold Out notice will disappear when the link goes live).

PHOTOS: David Tennant Continues Filming For The New Series Of Broadchurch

Filming for the third and final series of Broadchurch has been continuing this week in West Bay.

Series 3 of Broadchurch will see David Tennant and Olivia Coleman returning to the roles of Detectives Alec Hardy and Ellie Miller for one last time This time they'll be investigating a serious sexual assault in a storyline that has seen series creator Chris Chibnall working closely with specialist police advisors and local support organisations who deal with the victims of sexual violence.

Other familiar faces set to return include Jodie Whittaker, Andrew Buchan and Arthur Darvill. They'll be joined by newcomers Julie Hesmondhalgh, Georgina Campbell, Charlie Higson and Sir Lenny Henry.

Broadchurch is expected to launch on ITV in the UK in early 2017.

"I started watching Doctor Who because a fellow artist thought I would enjoy it. What struck me was that his companions are not necessarily just love interests but also cohorts in his adventures.  I started imagining who else might make good companions for him and thought of Cinderella; what an interesting twist to her story it would be if he appeared right at that moment.
The Disney princesses yearn for excitement and adventure, so I try to place the Doctor at the point in their story where it seems they are ready for things to change but before the love interest shows up. By doing so, I aim to create a new story with my vi…

ALAMO CITY COMIC CON: David Tennant & John Barrowman Dual Photo Op On Sale Tomorrow

The organisers of Alamo City Comic Con have given a heads up to attendees about a very special photo opportunity coming their way. Tomorrow at 12pm CT sharp, tickets go on sale for the first ever joint photo session with none other than David Tennant and John Barrowman. It's a chance in a lifetime opportunity for anyone who ever imagined taking part in a scene with those two TARDIS heroes, the Tenth Doctor and Captain Jack.

The event takes place at the Henry B Gonzalez Convention Center, San Antonio, Texas on Saturday 29th October.

Tickets will be available from this link tomorrow - but be there when they launch, they're extremely limited!

VIDEO: David Tennant Interviewed At Chiswick House Dog Show

Local news site Chiswick Buzz has posted a video from Sunday afternoon's annual fundraiser, the Chiswick House Dog Show. The video features presenter Laura Naylor's interviews with the celebrity judges of the various classes and includes a brief chat with David Tennant. David was somewhat amused at the prospect of judging the canine contestants, a task for which he had no prior experience, and expressed the hope that he might just manage to decide the winner of the fancy dress competition,

"I'm imagining the sillier the better, that's what I'm going for," he said.

David was accompanied through the day by the family dog who was very overexcited by all the attention!

The video also includes interviews with Rula Lenska, Jeremy Vine, Ant McPartlin and Michael Ball.

David Tennant's Doctor Voted Greatest TV Character Of 21st Century

David Tennant's Doctor has been voted as the Greatest TV Character of the 21st Century in a poll held by Digital Spy.
Helped along by our readers, David soared straight to the top of the chart and managed to keep hold of the top spot until today's results were announced. And whilst we may only be 16 years in to the century not many of us will be around at the end of it so it's probably best we cast our votes today!

A whopping 35,000 people voted for the Tenth Doctor, the role that David is perhaps best known for.

David joined the show in 2005 as the Tenth incarnation of the Time Lord and went on to achieve global success with the part.
Over 4 years and 47 episodes David won critical acclaim, walking away from the show in January 2010 with an armfull of accolades including National Television Awards and a BAFTA Cymru.

RE:Shakespeare, the Shakespeare study app fronted by David Tennant, has won two awards in the Education & Reference and Best User Experience categories at the Lovie Awards.

The Royal Shakespeare Company and Samsung worked together to create RE:Shakespeare, a free Android app that helps young people learn about Shakespeare through play, practice and performing for real. By working through a series of immersive 360 and interactive challenges, hosted by celebrity influencers and performance experts, young people are transformed from passive readers to active co-owners and doers, engaging with Shakespeare via the digital channels they live and breathe.

Chiswick House Dog Show has released a video of highlights of Sunday's show.

David Tennant was among the celebrity judges at the community-run event which aims to raise money on behalf of Chiswick House Friends to maintain and improve a valuable urban resource.

The fun show had categories that included Waggiest Tail, Naughtiest Dog and Prettiest Bitch, and included a My Dog's Got Talent competition. David was called on to judge the fancy dress entries, which, in line with Queen Elizabeth II's 90th birthday celebrations, was on the theme of 'A Right Royal Affair'.

David Tennant Judges At The Chiswick House Dog Show Today

David Tennant will be a celebrity judge at today's 12th annual Chiswick House Dog Show.
He will be joined by Michael Ball, Jeremy Vine and Diana Weston.
The event takes place on the cricket pitch at Chiswick House Gardens in London between 11am and 4.15pm.

This year's show is a celebration for the Queen's 90th Birthday and there will be a fancy dress competition for adults and children. There are also plenty of categories for poochs to enter including Best Veteran and Naughtiest Dog and there will also be a Dog's Trust Rehoming Parade.

Doctor Who's Tenth Doctor, as played by David Tennant, has been nominated in a new poll being hosted by Digital Spy to find the Greatest TV Character of the 21st Century.
There are 70 amazing characters from a huge variety of shows to choose from. Only one character has been chosen to represent each show and so David's Doctor is representing the new era of Doctor Who.

Robert Sheehan Joins David Tennant In Cast Of Bad Samaritan

Irish actor Robert Sheehan has been added to the cast of the Dean Devlin directed feature film Bad Samaritan. Robert, who played bad boy Nathan in the E4 series Misfits, joins David Tennant in the thriller which is due to start shooting around Portland, Oregon later this year. 

Bad Samaritan centres on a pair of young car valets who use their business as a front to rob their wealthy customers. The ploy is a success until the day that they target a house where they discover a woman is being held captive...

The script has been written by Brandon Boyce and the movie will be produced by Dean Devlin through his own company Electric Entertainment, with co-producers Marc Roskin and Rachel Olschan.

Dean Devlin has also recently directed Robert Sheehan in the sci-fi action thriller Geostorm which hits cinemas in October 2017.

THROWBACK THURSDAY PHOTOS: David Tennant Hosts Children In Need Rocks Manchester

Today's Throwback Thursday post is a collection of photos of David Tennant hosting the Children In Need Rocks Manchester charity concert held at Manchester Arena on 17th November 2011.

The event was screened on BBC One and was co hosted by David with Chris Moyles and Fearne Cotton. Acts performing included Coldplay, Jessie J, James Morrison, Gary Barlow and Lady Gaga. The 12,000 tickets released for the show sold out in just ten minutes!

The concert raised over £2,500.00 in text donations during the screening.
