Don Juan In Soho Rehearsals Start On Monday

David Tennant begins work on the hugely anticipated revival of Patrick Marber's riotous comedy Don Juan In Soho next week. Rehearsals for the contemporary update of the classic Molière tale, which originally premiered in London in 2006, begin on Monday 6th February, with Marber himself at the helm and David playing the notorious lothario.

Patrick Marber, who is currently directing Travesties starring Tom Hollander at the Apollo Theatre in London, says that he originally met David as one of the cast of the 1995 production of What The Butler Saw at the National. Patrick's future wife Debra Gillett also starred in the same production, and when David told her recently he was looking to return to the stage, Patrick sent him the Don Juan In Soho script.

David will be joined in the play by Adrian Scarborough as Stan and Gawn Grainger as Louis, with other cast to be confirmed very soon.

Don Juan In Soho opens for previews at Wyndham's Theatre in London's West End on Friday 17th March and runs to Saturday 10th June. If you haven't got your hands on tickets yet, they are still available here.
