Bad Samaritan Starring David Tennant Makes Big Sales At Cannes

Bad Samaritan's success at the Cannes Film Festival continues with The Hollywood Reporter revealing that Dean Devlin's thriller has scored yet more deals in major territories.

New buyers include Dutch Filmworks, which will do a wide theatrical release in the Netherlands and all Dutch-speaking territories. Wise & Wide bought all rights for Korea, Tanweer bought multiple territories including Turkey, Greece, Indonesia and Malaysia, and Jaguar bought international airlines. As previously announced, the project also sold to Atlas in Germany, Imagem in Latin America and Eagle in the Middle East.

Bad Samaritan, which recently completed post-production, is scheduled for release in the USA Spring 2018.

The plot centres on two young car valets, played by Robert Sheehan and Carlito Olivero, who use their business as a front to rob the houses of their unsuspecting patrons. Life is good for these petty thieves until they target the wrong house, changing their lives forever.  David Tennant stars as the sinister Cale Erendreich.

The movie was scripted by Brandon Boyce and produced by Electric Entertainment's Rachel Olschan and Marc Roskin. Executive producers are Brandon Lambdin and Carsten Lorenz.
