David Tennant Forced To Cancel A Christmas Celebration At Winchester Cathedral - Catherine Tate To Attend In His Place

Unfortunately due to unforeseen work commitments David Tennant has had to cancel his appearance at a Christmas Celebration At Winchester Cathedral on Thursday evening.
David is deeply sorry and disappointed, but the good news is that he has arranged for his friend and former co star Catherine Tate to take his place.

Speaking on their website the Murray Parish Trust say: "We hope our guests will understand that these things happen in the world of showbiz and continue to look forward to what will be a truly spectacular evening."

We are sure that you will all continue to support this fabulous event which has been organised to raise funds and awareness for Breast Cancer Haven in Titchfield and The Murray Parish Trust.

The latter is a charity set up by David's friends, actress Sarah Parish and her husband, actor James Murray who founded the charity after they lost their first daughter Ella-Jayne to a congenital heart defect. It supports the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at University Hospital Southampton.

Sarah said of the event: "We are so lucky to have such big names supporting this event and we will be doing everything we can to ensure that this will be a night to remember to raise as much funds as possible for these two incredible local charities."

Also in attendance at the event on 7th December will be Broadchurch's Olivia Colman, Downton Abbey star Hugh Bonneville and actor Timothy West CBE.
